Review of The Blood of a Poet (1932) by Christopher S — 11 Mar 2009
Early film from director Jean Cocteau is a dull and pretentious surrealist film - there is some inventive imagery and some interesting camera tricks, but it's painfully slow, with lingering shots that drag on and on while annoying cartoonish music drones.
Maybe I'm just didn't get it, but this is a chore to sit through.
