Review of The Blob (1988) by Deadly Nightshade — 04 Apr 2006
Extremely enjoyable remake of the 50's classic that plays with the now cliched conventions of the original. Although some of the effects are very dated, most of them work extremely well and help emphasise the quirky humour that is evident throughout.
Flawed also by extremely corny music and acting at times, it is saved by not taking itself too seriously. Good clean 80's fun!
