He has something on his hand.

Steve Andrews and Jane Martin are high school sweet hearts out for a night at lookout point. A strange meteor crashes not far from their location and is discovered by an old man. The couple seeks out the meteorite and finds the old man with a strange infection on his hands. The couple takes the old man to a doctor. When the couple returns to the doctor the next day, the old man and the doctor are dead. The couple will need to convince the town that a strange menace is pursuing them.

?Doctor, where is he??

?It must have absorbed the old man completely.?

Irvin S. Yeaworth, director of The Flaming Teenage, 4D Man, Dinosaur!, The Gospel Blimp, and Way Out, delivers The Blob. The storyline for this picture is better than anticipated and delivered well. The characters are presented and acted to perfection. The cast delivered stunning performances and the cast included Steve McQueen (Steven McQueen at the time) and Aneta Corsaut (The Andy Griffin Show).

?Where?s the big bad monster??

?I don?t know.?

I have always wanted to watch this film since viewing the 80s remake. The action scenes, made of red silicone, were surprisingly well presented and delivered to perfection by Yeaworth. The acting was better than it should have been. I strongly recommend seeing this horror classic, which is currently airing on The Movie Channel (TMC).

?I thought you cats didn?t like scary movies.?

Grade: B+.
