Review of The Bling Ring (2013) by Riley A — 06 Sep 2013

At the start of this film I was thinking that this movie was going to be horrible. but then throughout watching it I realized it was very interesting. the movie although suffers from feeling like the same thing.

since all they do is hear about some celebrity being out of town and what do they do. break in and steal shit simple as that. but the reality of the movie is that this can not be pulled off being a very likeable to most people.

considering the fact that they are stupid drugged rich hipster teenagers who think they rule the world. and to make a criminal look good in a movie is a hard thing to do so when directos pull it off it always ends in critical acclaim.

well this film they obviously made me want to just blow my brains out at how much they do not realize what the hell they're doing wrong. like honestly throughout the film it feels like they don't even know.

their thoughts are "whatever lets get high and party and steal stuff #YOLO. but other than that I did enjoy the style of directing that was put in the movie . and now on to another complaint these teenagers are so stupid to even realize that hey you know what they might be cameras in a famous persons home considering they have millions worth of merchandise "pfft why would they do that".

and also when they were telling everyone that they were breaking in to celebrity's houses wouldn't catch on really quickly the first couple of times they started doing it. think about how long it would take for like 1500 people to find out.

not long (gossip travels fast). but im not going to argue with that mistake in the film too much. because if that happened this movie would be pretty short.and I would also like to say that if I was in one of their positions.

I would not leave all that stuff in my house considering how much money i'd be making from selling all that stuff. I would rent a decently small sized apartment that doesn't cost too much and store everything there.

because when doing a huge crime like this you have think before you do. but at the end of the day this is still an interesting with all of its flaws and I would recommend this film for sure but I just wish it was a "smart" drama.
