It's a feel good film. Working on the simple story of a poor black kid who is adopted by a rich white family for a enhanced life outcome for all.
It's is neither deep nor is it sickly sweet, it is merely per-functionary yet of course very likeable. Sandra bullock plays the strong assertive mother well.
