Review of The Blind Side (2009) by Josh A — 10 Jul 2012
It's entertaining enough... Quinton Aaron is solid as Michael Oher, and Sandra Bullock is... better than terrible. Once it's over, though, it feels as if something is missing; you don't quite get that feeling that this is a fantastic story.
Obviously, since it all had to be condensed into two hours, it seems like it fast-forwarded through certain things, possibly to keep the movie from getting too dark at times. I did get a laugh out of watching Lou Holtz's recruiting visit.
I don't think anyone can understand that guy. He's totally incoherent at all times, and his voice sounds like Kermit the Frog with a low southern drawl.
