'The Blind Side' was a good movie, but not an excellent movie. For all the hype and the Oscar nominations, once I got around to seeing it I was kind of a underwhelmed. It's a nice story and all, but it feels during most moments like the film-makers are saying, "HEY, BE TOUCHED.
THIS IS A TOUCHING STORY. AREN'T YOU INSPIRED?!?!" You know, it's a little forced. It kind of rubs me the wrong way. Especially by way of Bullock's performance. One too many 'aww, how nice' type lines that make me cringe just a little bit.
