Review of The Blind Side (2009) by Brandon W — 19 Oct 2014
The Blind Side is the first sports film I saw when I was young. I always remember it being a good film, and know the mom, the kid, and Michael Oher. So when I got the chance to watch it again, it's still a great film, but I forgot that it has lots of drama moments.
I do think that it's trying too hard to make a drama moment when there's lots of good drama moments in this. The acting in this is great, but it's Sandra Bullock who gives an memorable performance in this.
She's funny, heartfelt, and shows the care here. It has some hilarious moments in it too which is unexpected when I saw it. The only thing I forgot about when I watched it first is Lily Collins, it's nice to see her in this too, and she's also really good in this too.
I do see why people think the kid is annoying, I also thought the kid was annoying when I first saw it. But after seeing the scenes that I thought he was annoying in, he was not that annoying and he's really funny.
The Blind Side is a great film that the acting makes this movie the best that it can be.
