Well that was terrifying. If ignorance is bliss, this is the polar opposite. 'The Bleeding Edge' takes a look at the failing FDA (due in large part to politicians that believe in deregulation) and the people whose lives have been destroyed because of medical devices.
The industry takes in more than $400 billion yearly, but it is massively unregulated, or can find loop holes to put unsafe products the market. You will be disturbed, but informed and that's a win for you and your family.
