Review of The Blackout Experiments (2016) by Kenneth L — 17 Jun 2017
I wanted to love this movie. I would have settled for liking it. Unfortunately, it never really figures out exactly what it wants to be... and as a result, fails at everything it attempts. As a documentary, it spins its wheels with endlessly repetitive clips in which the various participants talk about "the darkness" that lives within them.
As a horror vehicle, it provides absolutely no thrills and/or chills. In the end, it comes off feeling like a very long, not very good promo for Blackout and the guys who run it.
