I loved the Black Stallion book series as a child and this movie is like reliving childhood dreams. The cinematography is gorgeous--there are extended sections without dialogue that are extremely beautiful and powerful, showing the developing relationship between the Black and Alec.
The race at the end is edge of your seat. Excellent movie that you can watch with the whole family.
