Review of The Black Hole (1979) by Sean L — 23 Apr 2008
This is one of several movies that I saw between ages 8-12 that profoundly affected me. Why? It was actually pretty frightening at times. Everything about the film seemed so vivid and surreal, and frankly quite dark for a Disney movie.
What I think really stayed with me is the mystery of the black hole. Do you die, enter another dimension? Fairly campy acting throughout, some good action, and flat out awesome villains. Some cool robot fights as well.
Writing this review makes me want to check it out again soon.
