Review of The Black Hole (1979) by Ricky News — 13 Sep 2008

Another great, over-looked Disney classic. An amazing concept, great acting (mainly by Perkins), and a musical score that haunts as well as excites. Where did it go wrong? I'm not sure....but I would think that most would agree with the way the film ended.

For a completest..it would seem very anti-climactic. For those of us who got sucked into the story (no pun intended), it's rather frightening, artistic, beautiful, metaphoric, and still leaves a lot to the imagination.

This is what makes me appreciate it as an adult. As a kid....well it literally was the only thing that could be remotely compared to "Star Wars". In fact, for me, VINCENT and Maximillian are still preferred over C-3PO and R2-D2!
