One of my favorite movies from my childhood; I distinctly remember seeing this film on the big screen.
Watched it on DVD for the first time today; it has been well over 15 years since I have seen this entire film. I forgot how good it was, especially for it's day. The score is fantastic and the special effects are remarkable..watch the special features and you will understand more about the scope of this film and how it is a special effects masterpiece.
As an adult watching this film, I grasped so much more than I did when I was a lad watching it. I like the whole ending with the iconic Dante's Inferno..Also like the fact that we are not sure what happened once they got through the black hole..Or did they????
Great movie, well worth the purchase on DVD!
