Review of The Black Dahlia (2006) by Karl.. 1 — 18 Nov 2011
Though it's valuable simply for its risk-taking stab at a different approach to the noir genre, the movie suffers from some weak performance by normally highly proficient actors and a plot/execution difficult to follow. As it is very muddled, even to perceptive movie-goers, the movie becomes boring and tedious to get through. One of my flatmates actually left to the bedroom mid-movie, so that's... an indicator of how well the cinematic experience draws the viewer into its captivating account...
2/5.
