Review of The Black Dahlia (2006) by Kim B — 08 Nov 2011
Super confusing long movie with about 20 plot twists and a very unsatisfying ending if I might add. This movie was not as much about the murder as I thought it would be. It got diluted with crappy sub-plots and a mumbling, fast-spoken narrative, way to false advertise the movie.
The look and style were spot-on with the time period that was the only really good thing. The acting was ok but I didn't like Swank as her role and I thought the actors could've been better. Right from the beginning of the film it was moving way too fast and you didn't know what was going on.
This could've been done much better I didn't like the directing at all, like a crappy L.A. Confidential. Did they really have dildos back then, I thought it was a popsicle at first lol.
