Review of The Black Dahlia (2006) by John W — 13 Jan 2009
The last five or 10 minutes of the movie made this flick. I was hoping it would be more thrilling and suspenseful throughout. I enjoyed the creepy ending. Hilary Swank's acting was so terrific that I often could not recognize her.
Scarlett Johansson seemed to be holding back too much emotion in trying to be a 40s woman -- I felt like she needed to be stronger and lose it at least once. She did not suit her role.
