Review of The Black Cauldron (1985) by Nolan S — 22 Aug 2012
Probably one of the few Disney films aimed for a much older children/teen audience. I find the film enjoyable, especially John Hurt's performance as The Horned King, but the Fair Folk sequence makes the tone out of whack when they take the dark adventure tone to child-friendly.
At least, they put it back to the original tone when they got it to the witches.
