Review of The Black Cauldron (1985) by Jack C — 17 Aug 2009
Disney's proverbial black sheep, "The Black Cauldron" limply wanders onto the screen with nothing exciting, interesting or original. All the characters are pretty much annoying or complete rip-offs of other Disney characters (which then makes them annoying) and the plot just seems like a condensed, crapper "Lord of the Rings".
There's some mental future-seeing pig, who is the only saving grace, but apart from that the film's as dry as a Jacob's cream cracker. Disney seems to have forgotten this film exists, I suggest everyone else does as well.
