Review of The Black Cauldron (1985) by Jon C — 14 Mar 2011
A beautifully drawn and illustrated piece of Disney animation.
Its not one of Disney's strongest though in terms of storytelling.
Gurgi steals the show but the movie itself barely qualifies as a feature film.
Its not all that memorable to leave an impact.
It does have magic, good vs. evil, fairies, witches, dragons and magic swords.
Its a much more mature tale for Disney and may scare some of the smaller viewers but its good to see a movie that isnt afraid to appeal to adults as well as children.
