Review of The Black Cauldron (1985) by Joshua Lf M — 23 Jul 2012
A lot of people hate this movie and in someways I can really understand that because compared to the older Disney movies this movie is not even close to being better than them, but I still don't think this movie is the worst Disney movie.
I think the Pocahontas movies are way worse than this movie, at least this movie is really dark and has a some what interesting story. When I mean some what I mean there are so some issues with the story, there's a few plot holes and some parts are just confusing, but also at the same time the story is really adventurous and really dark for a kids movie which I kind of like.
As for the characters in this movie I could really care less about any of them, yes this movie does let you down when it comes to cool characters because in The Black Cauldron there is no cool characters or even interesting characters.
But I guess what makes up for that is the animation design, I did like the animation in this movie it was well made and really nice to look at it. So pretty much this movie has a lot of problems, but the movie does have a few positives to make up for the problems so that's why I gave this movie an average rating because that's what this is an average Disney movie.
It's neither good or bad it's basically right down the middle, but again there are some people that like this movie and there are some people that hate this movie, I for one agree with them both.
