Review of The Black Cauldron (1985) by The Critic ( — 06 Aug 2012
Not one of Disney's best-known animated features, 'The Black Cauldron' is a strikingly well drawn picture and probably features the studio's darkest villain to date in the form of the Horned King.
Despite this, the film fails to charm or captivate, though the little furry kleptomaniac creature named Gurgi will inspire chuckles. All, this is a very imaginative but unsuccessful effort.
