Honestly, I have to give kudos to Disney by going beyond their comfort zone. I was quite surprised that this animated feature was Disney's first, and probably only, PG-rated cartoon. I heard so much about this film, even when Disney didn't want to express their fondness with this product.

But it was refreshing to see another side of Disney. That being said, the film could have been more interesting. The film's characters were alright -- they were all unique, but the film's story and plot kind of lagged.

The film's visuals were kind of creepy, but interesting. I enjoyed the darkness of the film, and it's rare to see dark cartoons back in the days. I noticed there were several inappropriate scenes in the film -- particularly the scene when a frog got stuck between one of the witches' chest.

Awkward for Disney! Yet again, it was refreshing! Overall, I somewhat was entertained. I have to agree with some of the reviewers, the film's ending was anti-climatic, and I felt the film should have ended in a huge bang.

I heard somewhere that several scenes were edited out from the final product -- scenes that included some partial nudities and scenes that were too scary for young children. I think Disney should released a Director's Cut someday.
