Review of The Birth of a Nation (2016) by Adam T — 14 Dec 2016
Nate Parker's 'The Birth of a Nation' (2016) is an intense watch. This film is brutal in its execution, whilst being cinematically beautiful due to Elliot Davis' impressive cinematography.
The acting is strong and the themes presented are shown effectively, and overall, I found this film a powerful, rewarding watch. Though it's not a film that I personally think I'll revisit, I'm glad I had the option to watch it at least once.
