This is a great movie, and it's worth acknowledging that this movie makes you realize just how far we have come as a "nation." It's a tearjerker in certain areas and empowering in others.
This movie sheds some light on American history that has been left out of the history books! For this to be Nate Parker's first movie as director, it was awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing this moving being nominated and WINNING an Oscar for Best Picture 2016.
