Review of The Birth of a Nation (2016) by Kendal H — 14 Oct 2016
This movie was an eye opening historical jewel! Depicts the way things were to a T as described by my grandmothers tales told to her by her father. It made me sick to see it, I had to leave the theater at one point, I was filled with anger, I was also filled with great pain, & sorrow.
It's sad America still to this day has not paid for what it done to the black community. This film really helped me open my eyes to what a savage sinister nation America has always been on the inside, yet it's sold with a shimmering glazed thick coated layer of freedom used as gift wrapping to sell to the rest of the world a prize so beautiful we hope they never open because what's inside is so despicable, so foul they would never consider America idealistic in anyway.
