Powerful film! In the span of 45 years I had never sat in a movie theater and silently cried unto yesterday...went to see "Birth of A Nation" and it left me numb. Not angry, not lukewarm mad at anyone's ancestors, just numb! I Pray people go, see this film just for the historical values alone! And no it's not 100% accurate, but it's a better representation of history than none at all or the whitewashed versions of history were feed in most high schools and colleges.
That being said, please go see this film.
