Review of The Birth of a Nation (1915) by William E — 07 Sep 2007
Wow. Flickster didn't even provide the director. It's D.W. Griffith for those of you who care. What a shame. Yes, this film is pretty racist. However, it's the most important film ever made, along with "Citizen Kane" and "2001: A Space Odyssey.
" Put it this way: I refuse to acknowledge anyone as a serious film buff if they have not seen this movie.
