Review of The Birth of a Nation (1915) by Chance R — 01 May 2012
I'm not putting my morals aside anymore than any other movie. There are hundreds of great movies in which I must set some of my personal idea of right and wrong on the sidelines and bring them in later.
So with that being said this is a ledgendary and iconic movie that set the tone for the film industry and the beginning of well made movies. D.W. Griffith though extremely racist and needed a good moral check created many of the basic media production laws and then some.
