Review of The Birdcage (1996) by Gary H — 07 Oct 2009
Any film that can get Gene Hackman in drag gets a big vote from me, but the Birdcage is so much more. It's one fucking hilarious movie! Robin Williams, Nathan Lane and Gene Hackman all chip in to the humor, but the man who steals this stage is Hank Azaria is the gay latin house boy.
He's priceless. Premise - 2 gay men from Miami who own a bar that features transvestite performers give away their son in marriage to an ultra conservative US Senator's daughter from the northeast.
You get the picture. The Birdcage sores for 2 hours! Catch it.
