Review of The Birdcage (1996) by Nicholas W — 14 May 2011
The American adaptation of the classic French farce 'La Cage Aux Folles' relies on a lot of stereotyping and camp, but it's very hard not to like. Nathan Lane pretty much steals the show, which is really something considering his co-star is Robin Williams, who seems quite subdued by comparison.
Hank Azaria is memorable as well, playing a dizzy, pouting houseboy.
