Review of The Big Year (2011) by Gaspar O — 28 May 2012
It pains me to rate a film with Jack, Owen and Steve in it a mere three stars, but that's all it's worth. This movie is not funny, nor is it overly dramatic. It's not terrifying or mysterious or thrilling or sensual or romantic or action packed or fantastical.
It simply a movie about guys who roam the country looking for birds. I didn't find it boring so I guess I can't complain. It's definitely the best film I've ever seen about folks who spend a year traveling the country looking for birds.
