Review of The Big Year (2011) by T W — 03 Oct 2012
Interesting idea, great cast, but mediocre script. In the end, The Big Year fails to deliver the big laughs, but it's not entirely for the birds. This mild comedy suggests that the cost of true greatness is often too great, and in such cases, being just really good should be good enough.
Unfortunately, one gets the impression that the philosophy of aiming for second best may have been applied in the making of this film.
