The critics hated it and I almost listened to them. I am glad I changed my mind and went to see The Big Wedding. It's an old fashioned comedy, with no car chases, no explosions and no CGI effects. I always love to see Susan Sarandon so that alone sold me on the movie.
Add to this Diane Keaton, Robert Dd Niro, Amanda Seyfried and Katherine Heigl and for me it was a perfect cast. Robin Williams is restrained as the priest and not over the top. It's a comedy that I could relate to and enjoy.
