Review of The Big Wedding (2013) by Nicholas M — 13 Sep 2013
The Big Wedding is the kind of movie that seems to keep popping up despite most audiences' aversion to such material, a brief glimpse at an incredibly wealthy family, with every member having his or her own dysfunction, but is so completely removed from reality while lacking in anything approaching wit or insight.
This isn't a comedy, it's a science fiction film, or at least a foreign film with a mistranslated script with actors who don't understand the language, because there isn't a single human character in this movie, and the sheer volume of halfway respectable performers in this mess makes it all the more embarrassing.
