Review of The Big Sleep (1946) by Glen O — 07 Aug 2008
One of the greatest of all films noir. Bogart is brilliant. Bacall was never a great actress but no one can doubt the chemistry between the two leads. Raymond Chandler's convoluted plot leaves everybody guessing, but the dialogue is scintillating and the performances top notch.
