Review of The Big Sleep (1946) by Shawn-Ray M — 23 Sep 2008
I'm a huge fan of film noir, but I had a hard time maintaining interest in this movie. It wasn't bad by any means, and probably was more my state of mind than anything, plus the overly complicated plot (even Chandler, who wrote the novel the movie is based on, couldn't follow it) and I was left pretty much in the cold.
Still, I see why it's a classic.
