I hate to sound like every other review, but, seriously, what exactly happened in this film? Bogart and Bacall do work together, but really so does any actress and Bogart in this one. It's a thrill to watch in that regard, as is the wordplay at times, like the blistering scene that opens the film.
The plot simply doesn't work, though.
