Review of The Big Sleep (1946) by Bryanna H — 14 Jan 2010
Who killed the chaffeur? Did he kill himself? Oh, we don't care. Ok, I'll roll with this. Oh, this book store chick seems like an interesting character...I wonder where this goes. Oh, Martha Vickers seems to be a spit fire here, will her and Bogart start an affair?
OH, hold the presses... Lauren Bacall just showed up. SHE must be the female lead... Ok, lets go with this... (Not the way I thought this would go...).
In the end, its a film that those that enjoy noir (me) will like. It also features Bogey and Bacall (one of hollywood's famous couples, probably second to Hepburn and Tracy).
