Humphrey Bogart and his cynicism is prefect for this hard boiled detective drama and no one does film noir like Bacall - but together you could not ask for a better on screen couple.
Great adaption of the great novel, because of the acting which really brings it to life. but I can't say I really loved the novel, I suppose I prefer my dtective dramas a little simpler. And also it has dated considerably more than the novel has.
