A classic, film noir type masterpiece from Howard Hawks. Humphrey Bogart shows why he is one of the greatest screen performers of all time. This is a spellbinding mystery and thriller. Sure, the plot may be incomprehensible in parts.
..but who cares? The other weakness is Lauren Bacall's acting. I was not impressed. I guess the chemistry is somewhat interesting since her and Bogart married after shooting wrapped.
