Review of The Big Sleep (1946) by Erick F — 08 Jul 2012
I didn't like this as much as Maltese Falcon. As a movie, MF works better. But on the other hand, The Big Sleep was a far more enjoyable book. Go figure. This film suffers from, "what is going on again?" The only thing that really kept me going was that I generally enjoy noir and I generally enjoy watching Humphrey Bolgart.
But other than that, I can't think of much else that makes me want to watch this movie again. Unless I go back to film school or something. Ok Concept Ok execution. Don't watch it unless you are studying noir films.
