Review of The Big Sleep (1946) by Edward K — 06 Nov 2013
Not as engaging as the book (in fact it strays far from it) and far from the noir it claims to be, this film is a hit-or-miss and perhaps one of my least favorite of the noir-esq films of the era. Still, I would recommend this to noir fans (for appreciation purposes), Bogart and Bacall fans or those who like a good, somewhat cheesy story.
