Review of The Big Sick (2017) by Sinead K — 11 Mar 2018
The Big Sick was such a delightful and unexpected surprise. A great rom-com told with excellent humour, acting and tenderness. I will concede that the introduction of Holly Hunter and Ray Romano kick this movie up a gear and provide some of the best comic moments, as well as a stronger relationship than our central couple.
Still the latter's relationship is sweet and touching and stands up on its own feet even if the quality of the movie is elevated by the supporting characters. A must watch for rom-com fans.
