Review of The Big Sick (2017) by Fred H — 27 Jul 2017
I thought that this film was well made and that the director had the Midas touch for knowing how to make an interesting story move without any false or gimmicky mechanisms. The main character is likable being a foreigner who resists the customs of his parents' generation.
If you want to go relax and see a movie that's not a superhero production turnout so typical of the studios these days, I'd say to go one afternoon or evening, grab some popcorn and a soda, sit back, and enjoy a good story.
This movie delivers it.
