Review of The Big Short (2015) by Gh R — 02 Apr 2016

A friend of mine who writes movie reviews for a website called this film one of the most overrated films of the 2015. He could not have been more right. Outside of Christian Bale being awesome, everyone else in this film was forgettable.

I my opinion, this film assumes that it's audience isn't smart enough to get that greedy banks screwed over a lot of people and uses gambling metaphors with teen pop idols to try and explain how risk works.

All in all this was less of a film and more of an afterschool special (remember those?) warning of talking to strange bankers. Still, Bale was quite good and there were some funny moments. All in all it felt flat and not worthy of all of the praise showered upon it.
