Review of The Big Short (2015) by Marvin M — 24 Apr 2016
I asked myself a question after I watched this movie. Why in the hell did it take me so long to see this movie? This movie is amazing. It tells you one story, three different ways, at three different angles.
I considered myself somewhat intelligent. Yet, I knew very little about the different terms and mortgages. Most movies assume that you know what they're talking about. They explain it to you like you're five.
They walk you through it step by step. I wish more historical movies would take this approach. Bale, Carell, and Pitt were all amazing. I love angry Carell. I didn't know he had this role in him. I need more of that in my life.
I like paranoid Pitt. I love the mad genius of Bale. I love this movie. Adam McKay is my new hero. He went from writing Ant-man to writing an Oscar wining screenplay in the same year. That's very impressive.
I can't wait to see more of his work in the future. This is a must own.
