How could a movie made by the same guy who directed "The Other Guys," "Anchorman," and "Step-Brothers" ever be a serious Oscar contender? Well, "The Big Short" was and definitely deserved that kind of recognizion, 'cause it surely is a great movie.
This is a movie that explains a dark time in the United States' economy in a fun and interesting way, which makes this movie something special. With constant fourth-wall breaking and great transitions, Adam McKay has really managed to reach the greats in no time.
