Review of The Big Mouth (1967) by Bob W — 16 Jun 2010
The Big Mouth is one the few Lewis directed films not available on DVD. In many ways, it has more in common with his last film Cracking Up (1983) than his previous films: though it has a â??storyâ?? about diamonds and mistaken identity there is little to no narrative coherence and the â??gagsâ?? are not so much conventionally funny, as they are bizarre, surreal, uncomfortable, and manipulate film form in ingenious ways.
