Review of The Big Lebowski (1998) by Lewis E — 18 Dec 2012
Starts off as quite an effective story involving a kidnapping and some mobsters but loses the plot about half way through as it becomes long-winded. I think the writers were trying to be too clever for what should have been a straight forward comedy caper.
Plus, I don't know what was the purpose to killing off one of the characters at the end. This is not really a spoiler alert as it really has next to no significance but I will stop short of saying who dies.
Good things however is the interactions between characters, even though going over the top sometimes but the dialogue between Jeff Bridges and John Goodman keeps it watch-able.
